‘Bout Time GSUSA.
Were you a girl scout? I was. And I loved every minute of it. One thing I did hate was the uniform. It was god awful. Luckily, our troop leader wasn’t too strict about it and only forced us to wear it on special occasions. I just checked in on the uniform shoppe and am satisfied to say they aren’t making todays poor girls wear culotte like shorts and shirts to rival a hospital gown. Other days we could just wear our regular clothes with our vest. It was brought to my attention today that the Girl Scouts of America has just done a little rebranding…and I do like it. It will draw more tweens in.
They updated the trefoil, and the type, and the geometric patterns are genius. Bold and clean and eye catching. They took the green back to what it was in the early days. When my mom was a girl scout it was a kelly green like now. When I was a girl scout they changed it, and now its back to kelly…much better.
