The 20 Something Society

Round three goes to The Family Stone.  The husband has retired to the study and left me to my own devices for this one. 

Things that I like:

1. The house…interior and exterior, its so real and cozy.  And the snow.  For some reason I find it pretty and actually go ohhhh!  I dont when I watch Christmas Vacation or Elf.  I dont know.

2. The family dynamics.  loving, supportive, neurotic. 

3. Diane Keaton

4. The volvo

5. “You were shoveling snow from the walk in front of our house, and I was the snow.  I was the snow, and everywhere it landed, everything it covered, you’d scoop me up.  With a big red shovel, you’d scoop me up.”  Horrible quality video.

6. It features my other favorite christmas song.  In the first “cry” scene of the movie.  When you hear this song start while watching this movie, just go on a grab a kleenex.

I knew that Diane Keaton was on the cover of More magazine this month, so during my lunch break I decided to flip through and read her article.  There was a sentence in the article that caught me.  I stopped to read it a few times and let the words rattle around in my brain.  Its an aspiring way to try and live life.

“She lives her life in question marks and exclamation points.”
