This morning, while editing wedding images, I popped in my current Netflix flick. It was The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. It is a french movie about a couple whose affair is cut short when he is drafted and all the complications that came after. It was made in 1964 and its a bit of a musical. Not the burst into song at random type, but all of the dialogue was sung as melodies. I was concerned that I wouldnt be able to follow, watching a foreign film while tasking on the computer. But, I guess you would be surprised at how much french we know offhand. I already wanted to learn it and now I think It’ll be a breeze. The sets and wardrobe were delightful. The colors popped!

P.S. Everytime I watch a French film it makes me want to move to France…yesterday it was Julie and Julia..and today this!
a new background? I know a few dudes who will like this site. Simple Desktops has some pretty minimalist desktops. Yeah with a name like simple desktops I bet you would have never guessed that.

Love these whimsical bunny ear headpieces from Etsy seller PrettyGoodThings.

Today on Viewfinder. PEACHES!! I can’t look at these fuzzy little beauties without thinking of the south, wraparound porches, and sweet tea.

Jacquelyn Jackson Photography has a new logo.
Do you like it? Better? Worse? Eh?
I am loving Wanwisa Wednesdays over on Southern Weddings blog. This week their bold bohemian board featured a totally naked cake. You heard it. A naked cake. And I want to eat one.
This is a unfinished tres leches cake from Momofuko Milk Bar in NYC. I want to go to there.
We are thinking about throwing a party for my birthday this year (the big 2-5). Maybe I can try to find someone to make a naked cake that tastes as good as this one looks
Being from south Alabama, I can’t really imagine a vacation to a really cold spot. I’ve been to Maine a couple of times but that’s about it. AT posted a few “Alpine Glam” images and they have me dreaming of, say, a Colorado vacation?

Due to the husbands job prospects in the not too distant future, there is a sizable possibility that we may be living in Colorado one day. I think about it sometimes and think I might die in the frigid temps. I really like winter (only because I love to layer and my hair doesn’t act up so much!), but our winters are not long at all down here.
The awesome blog Love My Dress featured this wedding which included one of my favorite dresses ever (By Demetrius) , a rad shiny vintage car, and a groom with major chops.
