My favorite singer/songwriter ever is coming to a city near me (and you?) in August.  Who is it people?  Its TOM PETTY and the bleep bleepin heartbreakers.  YEAH BOI.  I’m there.  When the husband called me to tell me I told him to “Lock it down!”.

Its going to be alot of this. My favorite Petty song.

Yes that video starred the ever-popular Mr.Depp.

Maybe mixed with a little bit of the end of this Bruce Springsteen video.  In case you were wondering – when I daydream about the thought of the fact that one day I might see Tom Petty live it looks like this.  Courtney Cox = ME and Bruce Springsteen = Tom Petty.

P.S.  This Carlton – ish dance The Boss is doing – I think he stole it from me.  I am literally doing it about 20-7.

Liv Tyler is one of the most beautiful creatures to ever step foot on the earth.  Thats a fact.  You can’t argue it.

Ahhh, to be born beautiful.  With parents like these she couldnt help herself.

Oh and, I don’t know what you were doing when you were nine but I was definitely keeping up with Aerosmiths Liv and Alicia music videos.  Classic.

I’m watching Thoroughly Modern Milly and thoroughly enjoying this jazz baby scene.

Thats some serious stuff right there.  This man amazes me and since he’s pretty private, I’m so glad he got together with other rock legends, The Edge, and Jimmy Page for the rockumentary It Might Get Loud.

The above excerpt is the very first scene.  And you find yourself watching with your mouth open, eyes wide in astonishment.  I could never find enough words for Jack White.  He is a musical genius.  He is a legend, already.  He is a bluessmith.  

I get emotional when it comes to some music.  While watching this documentary and listening to these men play and speak and share, it gives me a feeling that I’m….privileged to be witnessing such magic.  As if just hearing their music is the start of some great revolution.  

You might think I’m weird.  Whatevs.  Go sit in a dark room and take this movie in.  Stat.

I love that she’s doing the whole ’80′s shoulder pad thing going on right now – but its this weird folksy vibe instead of edgy.  I dig it.

Mark Mothersbaugh. You may know him from Devo, which is not why I love him.

I love him for his film score writing skills.  He works with one of my favorite auteurs Wes Anderson.
