We drove the five hours to our hometown today, Mobile!
We barely got everything to fit in the trunk, but it happened. We started the ol’ Ipod up and out came
When we arrived to the in-laws, there was a plethora of homemade chocolate treats to make me fat. I ate some. After we unpacked we went to visit my grandparents and they gave us…a big bag of chocolates to make me fat. I ate some of that too.
The husband and I are watching the proposal right now and I forgot how much I love Sandra Bullock. Where has she been the last few years. Oh yeah, living her life. Whatever.
There is a cute dog in the movie and I want one. His name is Kevin.
I can has? He is a Samoyed and maybe we can get one to be a little brother for Klaus.
And this little outfit reminds me of the latest logo I’ve been working on.
I am flipping through the January issue of Glamour and landed on the dos+don’ts page. One of the donts was giving girls boys names – by 52%. It said that most people felt the children would get made fun of. I have always loved masculine names for girls and slightly feminine names for guys! I think this started when I was in middle school watching Footloose, I really dug that Sarah Jessica Parkers characters name was Rusty!
This Christmas season we made a decision. We decided that we are never going to buy wrapping paper again. It is pretty wasteful. We can wrap presents just as beautifully with newspaper, paper grocery bags, and even repurpose some things like dish towels, vintage fabric or, as seen on Creature Comforts, old sewing patterns!!
We have some wrapping paper left from last year, so after that is used up we’ll be done!
It is full blown cold outside and time to get out the coziest night clothes you can find!
I have a couple of my Grandaddys old flannels. Thats pretty much what I choose over and over again, they’re in heavy rotation. Just throw some knee highs on with them!
There is no telling how many times that shirt saw the hunting camp.
I went searching for some other comfy options this morning and these were my faves.
If you cant steal some flannels from your Grandaddy, here is one from The Gap.
We just saw a little infomercial for Cenegenics , an age management medical system. This old guy was their spokesperson and he really creeped me out. Its like the old geezer terminator.
I knew that Diane Keaton was on the cover of More magazine this month, so during my lunch break I decided to flip through and read her article. There was a sentence in the article that caught me. I stopped to read it a few times and let the words rattle around in my brain. Its an aspiring way to try and live life.
“She lives her life in question marks and exclamation points.”
Vintage Keaton on the cover of the Rolling Stone. …….(Ben Fong -Torres!)
I went outside to walk the pup this morning, and all of a sudden….
the leaves had fallen! I guess it is officially fall, just in time for Halloween! I have always loved the sight of leaves on the ground, but now that I have a yard, that comes with the disappointment that I have to rake them all up.
