Today was a running around town doing errands kind of day. But before that could start, the husband made some homemade cinnamon rolls.
Yum.
We started to walk out of the door and realized it was snowing, so I grabbed my handy dandy man hat. When we hopped in the car and plugged the ipod in the first song of the day was – - – Metallica – Enter Sandman! YES! I love to sing like James Hetfield.
First stop – Moviestop. While trying to find a parking spot I let out a huge GASP and made my husband think he was about to get in a wreck or run over someone. Really I just saw a banner saying Moviestop was having a horrorfest sale. He had to keep me under control. We traded in what seemed like a million and two movies, and in return got enough back for about one and a half blu rays. We chose Star Trek and Boogie Nights.
I decided if we ever have a son, I’m going to get him the young Spock haircut. YEAH BOI.
I always have said, if I would have been A) single and B) more adventurous when I graduated high school, I would have went away to film school. But I didn’t. Looking back I really believe the first time I ever thought about filmmaking was when I was in middle school and read Stephen Kings Christine. I had never seen the movie and waited until I was done with the book to watch it. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed and dreamt of remaking the movie by the time I was 25. I’ll be 25 in about three months. I also started writing a screenplay when I was in middle school. I believe I called it ‘Two Can Keep A Secret’ and it fell in the horror genre. I have no idea where that is floating around. I still think about these things and am very interested in how movies are made. I’m the type that watches all of the commentaries and special features. By myself because my husband has little to no interest. If you aren’t this type you might not want to watch this video of PTAs three minute film school commentary to the beginning scene from Boogie Nights. This movie is epic by the way.
Next stop – Target! To spend my leftover christmas gift cards.
I selected..some outlet converters for our old house.
A pretty polka dotted scarf, black stripedy sweater, and riding/militia style hat. I can’t decide which one.

And some bones for the pup.
Third stop – the husbands favorite place….Bed Bath and Beyond. He bought some boring things like oxo canisters, chip clips, and a tervis tumbler national championship Alabama football cup?
Then Best Buy to spend his leftover christmas gift card, he chose a car charger for his Iphone. I know, loads of excitement from us.
So thats my day. Sorry if it bored you!
This is what you get for punishment if you go rooting around in my hair diddy drawer.
The shame.
Yeah, I said “rooting around” and “hair diddy” in the same sentence AND WHAT?
Every time we buy Klaus a bed he will lay on it for a couple of weeks, dragging it around every once and again. Then he decides to rip it to shreds. He thinks they are toys and we cannot figure out how to make him understand that its NOT A TOY! Well, we bought him a new one yesterday afternoon and decided we weren’t going to allow him to bring it out of his crate and drag it around. Maybe this will make him understand. It only to be SLEPT ON! Well, we left him to his own devices for forty minutes so we could play a little rock band. After we put away our guitar and drum kit, we happened upon this lovely sight.
We just bought that two hours ago GEEZE!!!! He seemed rather content to just lay in the stuffing though.
I finally got those Always Skinny jeans from The GAP. I am in love with them.
OBLIGATORY KLAUS SHOT!

Today started off with a bowl of fruity pebbles in my Grandaddys flannel shirt and knee high argyle socks.
Most of the rest of my day was spent editing pictures but here were a few things that stuck out.
Klaus and I heard a knock on the door and opened it to meet the mailman with a package for ME! My mom and stepdad recently went on a trip to New Orleans and she found a hand tooled leather purse at one of the vintage shops on Magazine Street, and it had arrived.
I then started getting ready to go to the salon, when I decided to check on Klaus who was in the back yard playing. He was nowhere to be seen. It turns out the little jerk jumped the fence and was stuck in our neighbors backyard. Great. Now we have to put up a privacy fence in the back.
I got my bangs cut. I haven’t had bangs since I was about five. I like them, even though she didnt do exactly what I asked and they’re a tid too short. But thats fine because they’ll be grown out by next week!
Better pics to come.
I came home and watched some more Clarissa Explains It All and found some of the old commercials from Nick Classic, that they are sure to show on my stinking channel when they create it.
I remember every last one of these commercials.
When I see dogs in clothes I usually roll my eyes and scoff. But I have to say that I am worried about Klaus now that the weather is getting cooler. He has very short hair! I think he’ll be too cold. I am in the market for a good doggy sweater. Etsy to the rescue! This one could be a winner.
Seller Nicannmardee
Or I was thinking about going to goodwill and getting some snazzy 80’s Bill Cosbyish sweaters for the cheap and trying to make some myself. OH yeah.

Our house had absolutely no lighting in the back and that just doesnt work for me. We had Mr.Electric come out today and give us some quotes for two flood lights, a back porch light, and another electrical socket in the kitchen. He installed the two flood lights, but we’ll have to save the rest for another day….when we have more monetary funds.
YaY for new floodlights!
When I arrived to the door to go back inside, our baby puppy was anxiously awaiting. Just look at that little wet nose against the door!

Hi peoples!
I just spent the weekend in Gulf Shores, Alabama (where my mom lives) to celebrate her wedding. I was her maid of honor and photographer. We didnt get to do alot but we did get to see and spend time with family members so we had a really good time…just wish we could have stayed longer!
We arrived at my mothers house on Thursday evening – hungry and tired.
This is my mothers backyard. Am I jealous? Why yes, yes I am.
We feasted on baked chicken and peas and played beauty parlor with my new short hair all while watching the football game. The Steelers were playing and they are my new step dads team so they were pretty pumped.
Friday we took the pup to the beach for the first time. He wasn’t as impressed as we thought he would be and he wanted NOTHING to do with the water. We walked four miles on the beach that morning. I didnt take my camera because it was going to rain! BOO! We then went to the resort Caribe to scope out the site of the wedding, which was beautiful. On the way there I realized……I FORGOT MY FRIGGIN DRESS IN HUNTSVILLE!!!!! Yes…six and a half hours away and the only thing I forgot. I panicked and demanded we go all the way to Huntsville and back for my perfect dress. Which didnt happen.
My perfect beach wedding dress that I didnt get to wear.
So we took a little last minute trip to Cordova Mall in Pensacola, Florida where I found a suitable dress at Dillards. All I have to say is I’m glad I was the only bridesmaid.
New beach wedding dress. Not me in it.
I then pushed my regular healthy eating to the side and indulged in some Mellow Mushroom. I let the husband pick the pizza since he had to drive to Pensacola for me. Can you guess what he picked?
Mighty Meaty!
My grandparents, Uncle Danny, Cousin Ernest, and a close friend of the family Jeannie arrived that afternoon so we headed over to their condo at The Beach Club. We ate boiled shrimp, listened to tunes, then watched Hot Fuzz.

It was windy on the balcony.
This is one of my favorite movies if you havent seen it, please do so.
Saturday was the day of the wedding. There was dancing. There was Sushi. There was a crooked cake. There were lots of pictures. There were sore muscles. I will post some pictures when I am done editing them.
We left today after eating more shrimp, along with some crab claws and hush puppies, at Docs Seafood in Orange beach.
Docs is a place where the locals go, its my moms favorite place to eat seafood. Our server was at the wedding the day before!
One day, you step outside and realize that suddenly the grass is growing over your shoes. Its time to MOW THE LAWN!
We went to our local Lowes and bought our first lawn mower- a Troybilt push mower. The husband took a “personal day” to mow the lawn today and exclaimed “Its not that bad!” .
Klaus was very nervous and watched his pop pop the whole time. It was cute.
