BRAIdS!
I love a good braid. The main reasons I was thinking about growing my hair out are actually the facts that I like to wear my hair up, and I love braids.

Its been here for years! Some of my colleagues and I had a discussion today. Is the mullet coming back? Some in the conversation may have thought ‘Hey, I’ve seen some kind of okay mullets out there recently.” I am here to say. Just say no.

Just say no.
Today I said to myself “Self, I want to have a Buddy Holly party.” I won’t actually have one. I just always get the urge to throw theme parties.

And what to wear?

M.Wards cover of Rave On – check it.
I’ve really been thinking about growing my hair back out. I can do things like – wear it up, braid it, let it blow in the summer breeze….ahhhh. Short hair is really more “me” though. I guess we’ll see. I guess I’ll leave it at this. Its time for me to get a hair cut now, but I’m not going to.
Not me, the husband. I shaved his head tonight. Again. I’m pretty much over this hairdo. I think we’ll go for this one next time.

Watching Coraline is making me want to dye my hair blue.
When I was in middle school I wanted this black/pink/purple hair. Exactly like this chicks.
Then I wanted fire engine red hair.
Next was pink hair.
I was always too scared to bleach my hair out. I was worried I would ruin it. I did dye pink over my brown hair – it turned out something like this.
A year and a half ago I told myself I wouldn’t dye my hair anymore. Ya know, try to keep it natural and healthy. But I do have a hair obsession weakness. Its….RED HAIR! Not fire engine red, just red. I have had red hair several times and more than occasionally the idea pops into my head. ~you want red hair now.~

P.S. Everyone knows that the cutest children have either red hair or afros.

I don’t think I’ll dye over my greys when I start getting them. In fact, after our wedding I decided to try to never dye my hair again. So we’ll see. I just hope I get a good grey, ya know what I mean? My mom dyes hers so I don’t really know. My Granny has mostly dark grey with some white, while my great grandmother was all white. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Brooke Shields may just have been the most beautiful child ever born. I remember growing up and watching The Blue Lagoon and being so jealous of her hair. Still to this day I can’t watch that movie without wanting to grow my hair out.

She even looks jaw droppingly beautiful in a freakin toothpaste ad.

And that my friends is what I like to call scary pretty.
Claire Geist of Weardrobe posted this outfit. And I love it. The top half should be in a Wes Anderson movie. I have been trying not to pollute my hair with dye, but that gorgeous red is tempting me, I have always loved red hair. The very first time I dyed my hair I was in the fifth grade and the color choice was RED.
