Today I didn’t go anywhere special. Just to run an errand to staples pretty much. Todd wasn’t here to photograph my outfit so I photographed the cloche I wore. I spotted this hat while I was out holiday shopping this year. I was at Marshalls and it called to me from the hat rack – I had walked into the store that day telling myself ” I will not spend ANY money on me!” but when I saw this hat I had to have it. The tag inside reads Madison 88.

Aren’t the colors fabulous?! Please – click on the image to enlarge and get a better look at those feathers.

So. I have these Ray Bans and I’m wanting to get some prescription lenses put in them but I wanted to make sure you guys like them on me first. As you can tell by the dust around the lenses they have been laying in my vanity tray looking pretty for quite a long while now.

So today I was…can you guess it? I was walkin around Target. I had an extra twenty or thirty minutes so I thought to myself….”What better to do than walk round Target?”
Really I was picking up a couple of Christmas presents when something caught my eye….thats how my ADD works. One minute I’m walking to the registers and the next, ohhh sparkles.
Today it was Dana Kellin for Target. Her jewelry collection for Target had lots delicate pieces using blues, champagnes, and peachy pinks in gold.
To take from the site “Her style is a delicate balance of metal wire and naturally sculpted stones – both beautifully modern and timelessly classic.”

The blues were my favorites pieces.

Good Morning All! This morning I am sitting on my couch, enjoying my second cup of coffee and watching Urban Legend. Remember that movie? I haven’t seen it in a long time but it is kind of nostalgic for me. My 13 year old self watched it a million times on a plastic VHS tape.
I am also window shopping on the web! I was browsing dresses on Macys.com and stumbled upon somthing I thought I’d share just in case someone had been looking for this.
You guys remember Jennifer Lawrence on the red carpet at the Oscars last year? There was a lot of buzz about her in her simple red dress? Here is a little reminder.

I myself was not super impressed. Sure she looks dang good – but the dress was boring to me….. BUT I know a LOT of ladies out there loved it!
If you have some special occasion coming up and have been looking for a dress like Jennifers – here ya go!

Yes I know the picture is tiny – but its all I could get. Here is the link for a better look.

I have been really digging navy and and deep magentaish pink lately. For parties and weddings and such. Very modern prep.
Maybe even throw in some yellow or turquoise?

I’m ready for some summer shopping! I keep thinking about my summer trip to visit mom at the beach. Today I added these sandals to my wishlist.
Sam Edelman “Hamilton” sandals.
Maybe with this Julie Dillon dress
And this Sesame Jasper Necklace from The Vamoose

So, over the past couple of months I have discovered Zara over the internets. Fabulous, affordable clothing. Unfortunately — no brick and mortar store here and there is nothing set up for the US to purchase online – YET!!! They are supposedly working on it. Whenever its a go I’m willing to bet most of my clothes will come from there.
LOOK at all this camel and leopard – I die.

Today I had a shoot and my bestest assistant in the world didn’t come with. So I wanted to get all of my props to fit in one bag. I dug up ye olde LL Bean bookbag from the closet and shoved much of it in that. I forgot how BIG those things are. This particular one has been the husbands since middle school and its still kicking – but pretty raggly. I went to the LL Bean website, thinking ‘Hey, maybe I’ll order a new one for prop carrying usage.’.
I could get this old school backpack.
OR – this rucksack that I kind of fell in love with too.
Which one do yall think?

Some days I need a nice comfort shoe – especially while working. And those are hard to come by without looking like I have to wear special made orthopedic shoes. I have had two pairs of shoes made by Born before – and I gotta say they are dang comfortable and last a looooong time. When you hear borns you may think of something like this.

Ew.
But, they actually have some options that I added to my comfort shoe wishlist.
A summery platform wedge called ‘Cutie’.

Some slip on Mocs called ‘Louise’

A feminine summer sandal called ‘Parlor’
And these heel basics called ‘Twila’
‘Louise’ is at the top of my list!!
