Is this me?

I was browsing another blog and they have their contributers put together a little inspiration board to visually describe themselves.  Most of us have some space online where we save things that catch out eye – be it pinterest, tumblr, our own blog, a special folder on your desktop – or all of the above!!  All of these little pieces that you have saved up because they caught your eye….in some way says something about you and your personality.  I find this idea intriguing so I decided to quickly scroll through my saved images and pull up the first ones that really stick out.

So what does this say about me?

We’re trying to save moolah, so I shouldn’t be doing much shopping.  So sometimes, you just gotta window shop.  I’ve spied this pretty striped scarf at J.Crew.

Perfect to make a t shirt and shorts kind of day a little more special.

I just spent a pretty sizable chunk of my night searching ‘vintage evening gowns’ on Etsy.  Do I have an event to attend you ask?  Why, no, I do not.  I’m just strange.  It did get me to thinking (since we are in the middle of awards season here) that if I were famous and needed to go to an awards show- why not search Etsy for a vintage find?!  What do you guys think of these?

This one was my favorite from Etsy seller Shop Rabbit Hole.  I was searching something else, stumbled upon this dress, which made me start the search for vintage evening gowns.

Then there is this gold and silver brocade number from Etsy seller Vogue Vintage.

And finally this simple yet scandalous gem from seller Public Couture Ltd

I can dig it.

Shopping.

I stopped by the black hole that is Target today, and tried on about 7 things, and ended up keeping two (which was what I had told myself when I went in was my limit, so I did well).  I looked down into the shopping basket at my two picks and noticed a trend- both picks were black and white prints!

My new striped sweater and polka dot blouse.  Now I need some sort of bright floral blazer/sweater/skirt to go with.  Hmmm…

Maybe this uber expensive Dolce & Gabbana skirt?

At $1,000 I think not for me.  here are a couple of more affordable choices.

ModCloth

Forever 21

I went out shopping with a friend of mine a few days ago and snagged a few items – two of which I wore today!  A tshirt from the Gap- I know, I know, not all that exciting.  But my favorite tshirts are from the Gap and I was excited to find this bright red-orange!  And then a very small purse that I found at Target with a navajo print – which is another thing I have been obsessed with.  These two together were under $30.  HeyO.

Burgundy.

If you ask me, we are going to be seeing a lot of burgundy this fall.

No.  Not him.

There we go, thats more like.  More burgundy in fall fashion this year.  In particular, burgundy lips are going to be IT lip color!

I think I’m brave enough to try it out.

It’s HOT.

I am so tired of being hot.  I hate to sweat.  Ugh.  And you can’t layer which is the most essential key to ensemble building duh.  I am so ready for fall weather, fall activities, and FALL FASHION.

Good things about fall:

LAYERING COZY CLOTHES!

CAMP LIKE ACTIVITIES

And do I even need to mention Halloween? I already have our costumes planned.

So, I was on Facebook today and some prom pictures from a cousin popped up in my newfeed.  In her pictures one of her friends was wearing this polka dot dress.

I didnt want to use the actual facebook picture because I think that is kind of creepy, so I googled polka dot prom dress with pink bow and found this.  While I didn’t think the little girl styled the dress well, and I certainly don’t think it is styled well on the model above, immediately when I saw it I thought KATE SPADE PROM!  Come on!  The big bow?  The polka dots?

Stick it with this hair. (photo cred: Elizabeth Messina)

This makeup.

These Kate Spade earrings.

This Kate Spade Bracelet

Kate Spade heels!

Perfect for a bold quirky Kate Spade lovin gal!

Leather Bound.

I was browsing through Etsy and stumbled across these handmade leather iPad cases which I find to be pretty boss.  Thats right, I said boss.

With my personal style I tend to mix the feminine and masculine pieces quite frequently (think pretty dress with a plaid fedora and boyfriend blazer.)  So these cases would work perfectly for me!  But if they are too masculine for any ladies reading, they would make great gifts for any man in your life!
