Iris Apfel. She is 88 years old. She is a style icon. She might be me in 63 years? There was an exhibition at the MET called Rare Bird: The Irreverent Iris Apfel. They showcased many of ensembles from her personal collection. She mixes, she matches, she wears haute couture with costume jewelry and takes her personal style to the extreme.

And those glasses. I die. I tell The Husband all the time that when I get old I’m going to have crazy big glasses.

I feel like I should explain to you guys who I am marketing towards before you help me out. I love working with a younger, more modern crowd. A crowd with a little edge and their own creativity. So no big bows and tulle for moi.
So, on the wall behind my table I am going to display some of my work mounted onto styrene and matboard. I am having a bit of trouble deciding on what to you use to display them on. These are the three options I have been mulling over.

This morning, while editing wedding images, I popped in my current Netflix flick. It was The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. It is a french movie about a couple whose affair is cut short when he is drafted and all the complications that came after. It was made in 1964 and its a bit of a musical. Not the burst into song at random type, but all of the dialogue was sung as melodies. I was concerned that I wouldnt be able to follow, watching a foreign film while tasking on the computer. But, I guess you would be surprised at how much french we know offhand. I already wanted to learn it and now I think It’ll be a breeze. The sets and wardrobe were delightful. The colors popped!

Snippet & Ink posted Chris and Sages real wedding and I am in love with the shotgun wedding design they created for the wedding. She was a bit preggers so they went with this theme and printed the logo on t shirts and temporary tattoos for the guests!
