Wedding Sheet Cake.
I have never seen a wedding sheet cake.
But this one does look ever so lovely and just as scrumptious.

When I stumbled across this image over on Fashion Chalet, it fit perfectly in with my life right now. I have been feeling very overwhelmed…yet excited about my blooming photography business. People have been having more interest in me, and that is exciting! But I’ve been SO busy. I’m not yet comfortable enough to leave my “day job”, so working there full time and doing what I love full time has kept me working through all of my waking hours. But I can’t help but know deep inside that this will all pay off one day. Hopefully one day very very soon. I am about to start another venture starting August….a pretty exciting one, that involves the words freelance and photography. But that’ll be a post for another day.
I was looking at a blog post on Inspired By This about cakes…and this cake stopped me in my tracks. Its different from anything I’ve seen before. And square cakes are my favorite. The kind of ombre icing coloring is genius too.

This cake was photographed by Leigh Miller

I LOVE this dress posted by 100 Layer Cake . Talk about repurposing!

It kind of reminds me of my dress a little……her is only 100 X more creative!

Me, Magz, and Helz two years ago at my reception.
So, one photoblog that I follow is Alec Vanderboom photographys. His is one of my favorites! He posted about a skateboarder named Cameron recently and I found it to be quite interesting. Cameron boards, which is stinkin hard! Believe me I had a board when I was younger and couldn’t stay on the dang thing. I guess that might have something to do with what the wii fit told me….that my balance is horrible and I rest all of my weight on my heels. I dont know.
Anyway, Cameron caught my attention because he is also blind. Alec Vanderboom posted “Although he doesn’t really need the cane while skateboarding, he more so uses it to notify the folks around him that he is in fact blind. Before skating an area he’s not familiar with, Cameron will map out the environment with his mind and then skate it by memory.”
Here are some of his images:

Heres some awesome wedding inspiration for ya.
Snippet & Ink posted Chris and Sages real wedding and I am in love with the shotgun wedding design they created for the wedding. She was a bit preggers so they went with this theme and printed the logo on t shirts and temporary tattoos for the guests!
JJP is kind of excited this week. Between editing from the Mobile wedding and shooting bridals, One of my images was featured on one of my favorite blogs – Southern Weddings blog! I’m telling you guys, one day I’m going to get in their magazine. That is an eventual goal of mine.

They’re bloody brilliant. Their blog is full of inspiration every single day.
They are running a photograph contest entitled Candy Coated Contest – in honor of one of the ladies behind the scene, the self proclaimed candy addict Katharine! They wanted some ring shots involving candy.
I entered this shot.
They picked mine as a semi finalist! Wheeeeee! The winner gets a box of hand picked candies – which is nice. But what I really wanted was just to get on one of my favorite blogs – I’m on there! Next up a feature.
I was perusing through ye olde twitter feed and @sprinklebakes posted about these Dexter blood slide lollis.

You can learn how to make them at Forkable Blog.

I would totally wear this star wars sweater. Via – Lookbook.
