The 20 Something Society

Today I didn’t go anywhere special.  Just to run an errand to staples pretty much.  Todd wasn’t here to photograph my outfit so I photographed the cloche I wore.  I spotted this hat while I was out holiday shopping this year.  I was at Marshalls and it called to me from the hat rack – I had walked into the store that day telling myself ” I will not spend ANY money on me!”  but when I saw this hat I had to have it.  The tag inside reads Madison 88.

So.  I have these Ray Bans and I’m wanting to get some prescription lenses put in them but I wanted to make sure you guys like them on me first.  As you can tell by the dust around the lenses they have been laying in my vanity tray looking pretty for quite a long while now.

I have been wanting to throw a Marie Antoinette party for years.  When is was wedding planning I even seriously thought about having a Sofia Coppolas Marie Antoinette vibe.  This morning I was catching up on sToribook weddings ( I am slightly obsessed with Tori and Dean) and there was a Marie Antoinette themed wedding that was so awesome.  Got me to dreaming about my possibly one day party again.  But there are two distinctly different versions…

I saw this picture of THE beautiful Zooey and thought the colors were so delicate and dainty.  I made a little colorboard!

I don’t know if any of you have given any thought at all to Halloween 2011. But I know I am pumped and as of right now am planning to do a Black Swan costume. OH yeah.

The Husband and I went out for a nice quiet dinner on New Years Eve.  Just the two of us.  Thats the way we like it.  We’re a bit antisocial.  We both ordered the exact same thing.  A pasta dish which included bacon shrimp AND chicken cooked in a rosemary cream sauce – and then all of it topped with a roasted red pepper sauce – whew!  It was DElish!  I am a sucker for anything involving the word rosemary.  I was planning on being good and ordering a salad but that obviously didnt happen.

I went out the day before New Years Eve and bought a couple of little items to add to my outfit.

Some leopard print kitten heels (meeeow!)  and a coral lipstick.  I can’t wait to try these kitten heels with different things – especially my skinny jeans!  The husband took some pics of me in my outfit before we left – but I havent uploaded them yet – been lazy.  What did you do for New Years?  For me its not really about DOING anything spectacular – just being able to get dressed up!

Yep – el cheapo shampoo smells SOOOOO GOOD!  They have a couple of new scents – I love each of them.  But the rosemary and mint is my idea of perfection.  It’s going to be hard for me to restrain myself from asking everyone to smell my hair tomorrow.  When you go grocery shopping this week you should give it a whiff.

Oh – and on a side note you just got a teeny tiny peek into our bathroom redo!

I am loving Drews hair and makeup from the He’s Just Not That Into You premiere.  She looks so classic early sixties.  And yes, I borrowed all of these pictures from Just Jared.
