September Issue
Jennifer Anniston graces the cover of the Bazaar September issue – as Barbara Streisand.

When I first saw it I thought it was Barbara for a hot second.

I’m not a makeup girl. I have never liked putting anything on my face. I could always handle lipgloss but that was about it. In the sixth grade my mom did my makeup for our “banquet” (christian school…no dances just banquets..were’nt allowed to dance). I looked in the mirror, cried, wiped it off, and told my mother I looked like a slut. Nice huh?
Well, I’ve come around SOME. If I’m not working I still only wear a lipgloss..or preferably a lip stain. But when I’m working I wear some very light face makeup and a gel blush. Still no eye makeup. I LOVE the gel blush and can’t see any other face makeup being any lighter with the same amount of coverage. I’m not at home so I can’t go look to tell you what exactly my face makeup is…but it is clinique, it is a liquid and then a loose powder, and it is like I have nothing on.
I saw this girl on lookbook and saved this picture because I think her makeup is perfection. Fresh faced yet kind of glam. Its young and fun and I like it a lot.
Iris Apfel. She is 88 years old. She is a style icon. She might be me in 63 years? There was an exhibition at the MET called Rare Bird: The Irreverent Iris Apfel. They showcased many of ensembles from her personal collection. She mixes, she matches, she wears haute couture with costume jewelry and takes her personal style to the extreme.

And those glasses. I die. I tell The Husband all the time that when I get old I’m going to have crazy big glasses.
Christina Hendricks in L.A. Times magazine. Looking absolutely beautiful and perfect.

You know girls who want to be tan so badly that they’re orange. I envy porcelain skin. Like hers.
I am not usually a Hibiscus fan, but when I saw this one today I thought it was the loveliest shades of light pink and deep red, and the not quite all the way open round shape is so pretty…

Should I make that a regular thing? Silver Fox Tuesday…has a ring to it.
Well I did want to post one silver fox today that alot of people probably wouldnt call a silver fox…
Mr. Jimmy Page.

And now to go back in time.

I think I was a late teen to early twenties age range lady in the seventies in a past life. Sincerely, I do.
The most beautiful couple ever has finally allowed themselves to be photographed together. They both have the most perfect milky skin. They should have some pale little ghost babies that I can look at.

Jack + Karen.
Its coming people….
Sex and the City 2. I was discussing with L.E. today about how I need someone to go see it with because my regular SATC friends are all in the hometown! Not 45 seconds after I walked away from the conversation my bestie Amy facebooked me saying are you coming home for Sex and the City?! Sadly…I cannot drive all the way home to see a movie…no matter how much I would like to. I’m going up here though! Gotta get D R E S S E D for it. I thought about maybe doing a little bit of this.
But…I wear eyeglasses. So whats the use of dramatic eye makeup aye?
My second favorite episode of The Biggest Loser was this week. MAKEOVERS! So my three faves this season are Sam, Koli, and Sunshine. The Samoans get me every season. The makeovers are so exciting! They get to see themselves for the first time in clothes that actually fit their new bodies – not baggy saggy workout clothes! And weren’t Sam and Stephanie soooooo cute! They should make babies now.
I hope you guys saw them on the update last night looking all cute and living together in the real world.
Today I said to myself “Self, I want to have a Buddy Holly party.” I won’t actually have one. I just always get the urge to throw theme parties.
